Graphic design for the Summer Nights of the Museum of History of Catalonia, under the title Mediterranean Root Musics in the best terrace of Barcelona.
Graphic Identity for the Summer Nights at the Museum of the History of Catalonia.
Mediterranean Root Music is a celebration of the cultural and sonic diversity of a rich and plural region. This series brings the public closer to artists who work on recovering and reinterpreting traditional tunes, songs, and sounds from rural areas of the Mediterranean. This year’s edition features performances by Widad Mjama & Khalil Epi (Morocco and Tunisia), Mar Grimalt (Mallorca), Arnau Obiols (Pyrenees), and Rachele Andrioli (Puglia).

For the creation of the graphic identity, we drew inspiration from the very essence of the Mediterranean: its life, its colors, its music, and its sea—elements that shape both the spirit of the Summer Nights and the identity of the participating artists.
The visual proposal blends organic and vibrant elements that evoke the movement of water and the hues of the Mediterranean landscape, intertwined with textures that suggest tradition and cultural roots.
In terms of composition, we chose a fluid and dynamic structure that reflects the free spirit and vibrant energy of the music. Subtle shapes and strokes interact with modern typography, creating a bridge between the past and the present, between tradition and reinterpretation. This fusion perfectly captures the essence of the series and the connection between the Museum of the History of Catalonia and the living heritage represented by these musical expressions.
With this project, we aimed to deliver a visual identity that not only complements the festival but becomes part of its narrative, inviting the audience to immerse themselves in the Mediterranean spirit and enjoy a unique and captivating sound journey.
